He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
Matthew 19:14
Haiti and Pastor Jean Carlo Thomas
New World Mission for Christ is dedicated to the future of Haiti’s children. NWMC accomplishes this mission by:

Assisting the children with books and uniforms
Pastor Jean Carlo Thomas, the founder of New World Mission for Christ, has FAITHFULLY served churches and local schools in Balix, Meyer, Roche a Bateau, Cog Chante, and St. Louis, Haiti for 3 decades. Crossroads has served alongside Pastor Carlo and the Haitian people in the building of schools and churches and disaster relief for over twenty years.

How does Crossroads help?
For 30+ years Crossroads has had a relationship with New World Missions for Christ in the academic & spiritual education of pastors, churches, and children. (Micah 6:8) We partner with them by sending short-term mission teams, sponsoring an annual school box project, the annual Christmas for Haiti project, Goat Project, and funding teachers.

Crossroads partners with community agencies like the Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force (MHTTF). MHTTF facilitates a collaborative effort to prevent trafficking of persons within the State of Michigan, to pursue prosecution of perpetrators, and to protect and actively support rehabilitation efforts for trafficking victims.
How does Crossroads help?
Crossroads is committed to supporting this Victim-centered, Evidence-based, Trauma-informed (VET) task force over 137 agencies collaborating to end the evil of slavery in our generation in the State of MI (Micah 6:8), and specifically at the crossroads of I-94 and I-69 interstate highways. We partner with MHTTF by giving fiscal administration and oversight. We also offer support through volunteer engagement for several key rolls (board members, administration support, & IT support) and often provide facility space for meetings, conferences, and trainings for the local chapter: At The Crossroads.
Together, we can work to end human trafficking through intervention, teaching kids to stay safe, educating law enforcement & helping professionals, and restoring victims.

Comprehensive Services, Support and Advocacy for People Affected by Sexual Assault
Crossroads partners with community agencies like Sexual Assault Services (SAS), which is committed to providing empathic, non-judgmental, comprehensive services, support and advocacy for survivors and others affected by sexual assault or abuse; raising awareness of sexual assault; and engaging others to help in holding offenders accountable and to achieve a community free of sexual violence. SAS is a part of Bronson Hospital - learn more here.
How does Crossroads help?
Crossroads’ partnership with SAS spans two decades. Some surveys say 1 out of 3 females and 1 out of 4 males experience sexual violence before the age of 18. Our commitment to support the experts in this field answers the call of Micah 6:8. We also offer support through volunteer engagement for several key rolls (advisory board members, & victim advocates).
Children's Advocacy Center
Investigating, Treating and Prosecuting Child Abuse Cases
Crossroads partners with community agencies like the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) which offers child-focused and child-friendly facilities where trained professionals help make decisions about investigating, treating and prosecuting child abuse cases. The Children's Advocacy Center is a part of Bronson Hospital - learn more here.
How does Crossroads help?
Our relationship with the CAC dates back over 20 years and responds to their vision for child-focused and child-friendly facilities for forensic interviews of children who are survivors of violent crimes. Offering this space and sustaining the difficult and important work of hearing, believing, and protecting these children is a call of our church. We partner with CAC by donating, dedicating & maintaining facility space on the Crossroads campus for them which is one of only two such CAC spaces in Calhoun County which serves children and families from several counties in the region.

Help Those Who Cannot Afford Medical Care
Crossroads partners with community agencies like The Fountain Clinic, a free clinic that was established to help those who are uninsured and under-insured, and cannot afford needed medical and/or dental care in Calhoun County.
How does Crossroads help?
Crossroads recommends and supports the work of the Fountain Clinic for the uninsured & under-insured in our county. We partner with them through financial and volunteer support for their fundraising events.

Educate, Impact, and Inspire Hope to Youth in Need
Crossroads partners with community agencies like I’ve Got Your Backs (IGYB). Its mission is to Educate, Impact, and Inspire Hope to Youth in Need. IGYB provides scholarships for kids to attend Crossroads events for youth such as camps and retreats. Learn more on Facebook.
How does Crossroads help?
Crossroads partners with the I’ve Got Your Backs Foundation to identify youth with practical needs in our community and also acts as a liaison to the needs of children in Haiti.
