Safety issues make shipping school supplies to Haiti this fall not possible. Instead, we will be collecting funds for Pr. Carlo and his team to purchase school supplies from inside Haiti, as well as pay for the teacher salaries and meals for the students.
Year-round impact
Pr. Carlo and his team have provided ongoing meals for children at schools they support throughout the year, including in Summer 2024. While school supply needs are ongoing, shipping supplies directly to Haiti is difficult and we encourage monetary support that empowers supplying and feeding children.

Give to continue supporting teachers’ salaries and feeding and supplying the children! We currently support teacher salaries, beans, rice, oil, pasta & school supplies for kids at five different schools.

By law, education is free for Haitian children; in practice, access is sharply limited by school location, language comprehension, cost of school clothes and supplies, and the availability of teachers.
Teacher salaries remain around $100 / month, and supplying children with meals and school supplies is approximately $25 / month. We recommend considering a sponsorship for a teacher or student to continue to support education and health of Haitian school children.
Only about 50 percent of the school-aged children actually attend. As a consequence of limited educational opportunities, only 53 percent of the adult population is literate. This is why Crossroads partners with Pastor Carlo to make a difference in the lives of the children of Haiti by making education available to everyone.
