1ST Sunday of Advent Reading:
Hope

Isaiah 9:1-2, 6-7 (ICB version)
1But suddenly there will be no more gloom for the land that suffered.
Now those people live in darkness.
But they will see a great light.
They live in a place that is very dark.
But a light will shine on them.
6A child will be born to us.
God will give a son to us.
He will be responsible for leading the people.
His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God,
Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace.

2nd Sunday of Advent Reading:
Prepare

Isaiah 40:3-5 (MSG version)

3-5 Thunder in the desert!
    “Prepare for God’s arrival!
Make the road straight and smooth,
a highway fit for our God.
Fill in the valleys,
    level off the hills,
Smooth out the ruts,
    clear out the rocks.
Then God’s bright glory will shine
    and everyone will see it.
Yes. Just as God has said.”

3rd Sunday of Advent Reading:
Joy

Matthew 2:10-11 (MSG version)

9-10 Instructed by the king, the Wise Men set off. Then the star appeared again, the same star they had seen in the eastern skies. It led them on until it hovered over the place of the child. They could hardly contain themselves: They were in the right place! They had arrived at the right time!

11 They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh.

4th Sunday of Advent Reading:
Love

John 3:16-18 (CEV version)

16 God loved the people of this world so much that God gave God's only Son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die. 17 God did not send His Son Jesus into the world to condemn its people. God sent Jesus to save them! 18 No one who has faith in God’s Son will be condemned.

CHRISTMAS DAY Reading:

John 1:1-2,14 (NOG version)
1In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was already with God in the beginning. 14 The Word became human and lived among us. We saw His glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with His only Son, a glory full of kindness and truth.
