YOUTH RESOURCE AND OUTREACH CENTER  (YROC@Crossroads)

Here at Crossroads Church and Ministries, we understand that serving you and your children is a privelege! We are constantly evaluating and evolving our youth ministries to best serve the needs of our families. Interested in learning more about how we serve our youth? Contact Sara Loughrige, our Youth Development Director, at (269)781-9094. Or, visit us on Facebook at facebook.com/yrocCCM/.

Sunday during both our 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. services, kids begin with Family Worship in the Main Auditorium. After song and prayer, children head to the Kid's Wing to learn about God in small groups, while their adults stay in the Main auditorium.

Our youth services include:

First Steps Nursery

Our newly renovated Nursery is now available for babies who are able to sit on their own
through three years.

Our volunteers spend their time engaging your child in fun-filled, safe activities appropriate to their age and abilities.

Our CR Kids experience is available for children in Preschool through Eighth grades, seperated as follows:

  • Preschool program ages 3 to 5
  • RK through First grades
  • Second and Third grades
  • Fourth and Fifth grades
  • Sixth through Eighth grades

Our CR KIDS Preschool Program curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially, and is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths:

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever

Everything we teach in our CR KIDS K-8 program is modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

We use the amazing First Look and 252 Basics curriculum developed by the Rethink Group – enhancing the home-church experience for our kids as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.

YROC Teens

YROC Teens helps our young people find meaning in their own story. Through their experiences here, high schoolers will become more self-aware while developing compassion for others as they learn about, understand more clearly, and truly experience the love and compassion of Jesus. We believe these young people will use this awareness and understanding to create a culture of love, truth and justice in our community. We are equipping our high schoolers with the skills they need to be mobilized as change makers, active in social justice, serve with compassion, and encouraged to live an authentic faith as they enter adulthood.

Our teens in ninth through twelfth grades meet Saturday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
They also meet every third Friday of the month at 5 p.m. in the church parking lot to volunteer at the Battle Creek SHARE Center serving meals.
